Consular legalisation of documents

If the destination country is not a party to the Hague Convention, an apostille has no effect there, and the document must be legalised through a chain: notary, Ministry of Justice, the Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the destination country's consulate.

We handle the whole chain: notarised copies and translations, filing with every authority and collection afterwards, tracking deadlines and each consulate's requirements.

What's included

  • Notarised copies and translations
  • Certification at the Ministry of Justice
  • Legalisation at the MFA Consular Department
  • Filing at the destination consulate

Frequently asked questions

Which countries require consular legalisation?

Countries outside the Hague Convention, such as the UAE, Qatar and Egypt. Thailand requires it until the Convention enters into force there on 28 February 2027.

Can corporate documents be legalised?

Yes: articles, registry extracts, powers of attorney and commercial documents — following the specific consulate's requirements and, where needed, the Chamber of Commerce.
